For walkers following the Via Francigena itinerary, the Montefalco Mob offer a memorable and enjoyable side trip. We pick you up at your accommodation in Foligno and head for the stunning Appenine mountains. We walk along the ridge top above the Spoleto valley, looking down on Spello, Montefalco, Trevi and Spoleto.

Along the way we join our flock of milking sheep as they meander and graze the high pastures above the ancient town of Pettino. We experience a traditional Italian way of life and culture, and following our shepherd we meet cattle, goats, and loads of natural wildlife.
When we find the perfect spot, we sit down for a traditional Umbrian picnic lunch, full of delicious local delicacies such as fresh truffles, handmade pasta, and loads of wine. A leisurely siesta to follow in the shade of a centuries old Italian birch tree is highly recommended! At the end of the day we take you to your next accommodation, or can arrange one for you.
Cost: 100 euros per person (includes transport, lunch, wine & water)
